today's soccer session was a blast. i mean the stage was all set with guys fresh out of exams and deprieved of the sport for months. and its as though the world left us alone to play till we collaspe in excessive satisfaction. its surprising that its the year end holidays and no one else but us were at the court on a sunday.
the skies were kind too. the scarce drizzle barely threaten to worsen. and the thunder only growled when im already in the comfort of my room now.
now its recovery time. we over- played but one can never have too much fun.
going to have a filling lunch and take a blissful afternoon nap in this seductive cool weather.
afterwhich its dinner with the girl and two massive epl games to look forward to later in the night. sunday at its best(:
going gym w chiat tmr and driving to the airport to pick my mum and sister up later in the noon. at night would be celebration time with the gf (:
lots lots stuff cming up. friday would be with the og people. sat is ben and jerry's festival and lynnette's recital at night. sunday would be a friendly field match in the morning. and serene's birthday party at night. monday is tentatively set to return to cnc for a visit with shalene and fish. and theres the primary school outing and the makan session with the toh guan people, both in on-going planning stage. and im sure lots of meet - ups and outings will start cropping up as the holidays progress.
and of course, in between spending lots of time with the girl. tuesday is shoppingggg. (((:

relaxed and lazing my time away at holland village's coffee bean. my favourite bumming place on this island, bar none.
dinner was splendid. thai express soft shell crab was yet another craving satisfied. with a cup of peppermint ice blended smacked right beside me now, the evening cant get any gastronomically better.
exactly how the break so far has been. as good as it gets. haha it certainly doesn't feel like exams concluded only a mere 4 days ago. im already very absorbed into my lifestyle now. if theres anything that needs attention, i guess i have to sleep more and spend less.
i love it when life is within my control. no deadlines to meet and no academic obligations to fufil. doing what i love to do, and being steered by pure desire.
what awfully dangerous about this is of course the lack of discipline. not that i have much in me to speak of even during semester time. my throat has been really uncomfortable of late and i feel an increasing deprivation of energy as the day passes. i can't re- emphasize how critical is it for me to sleep and hydrate more.
the holidays ahead look incredibly delicious. i will just sit back and bask it in all. the break is well - deserved.
days will just get better. in fact, after monday, things will get even more heavenly, instantly.
this entire post oozes randomness. forgive me.
holland village is in its element. classy yet laid back. slow yet sharp. dark but alive. loud but pleasant. i see happy beautiful people everywhere. if the economic crisis or the terror attacks or the bangkok shut- out have caused any drip of unhappiness on the crowd, it certainly isn't showing.
was reading a book on the bus when an over- amplified conversation behind me irked me a great deal. mind you, it was a very good read and i just started.
i really hate it when boys who have yet to serve talk about national service as though they already did. perhaps i was guilty of that in the past, but whatever, i deserved to be detested then if i did.
anyway, there was this guy behind me, fresh out of jc and waitin for enlistment perhaps. he was like correcting his friend who was just as clueless as him all the time, with the 'i-know-it-all' tone. and half his 'facts' were rubbish. the best that came out of him was really that he confidently proclaimed that the famous black plastic specs NS guys donned are supplied and bought from the army itself. he said no other specs are allowed but those bought/issued in camps. i've been out for awhile, but im quite sure that should be thrash. but regardless, its his tone that irritates me.
oh and about the book. i dig those books that revolves around tough american crooks, jails and prisons. theres always more weight to emotions when big baddies crumbles at life's sorrows. still at the beginning pages.if my mantra ' don't judge a book by its cover, but by its introduction ' is accurate, im in for a ride. or rather read.
ok enough words for the day. going to switch between playing my game, reading the book and watching this english drama series on vcd, as i waste my evening away here without any guilt.
the best for the last. one mega reason im on cloud nine now is because of the girl studying opposite me now. guess who. (:

quick update.

had a very long but satisfying sunday.
had barely 2 hours of sleep to start off. thanks to sports action on television on late saturday night. busy switching channels between epl and formula one qualifying. eh the night got off to a good start when arsenal lost! (to stoke or to hull i cant rem). but wasn't very delightful to see how liverpool threw away their unbeaten record so meekly.
anyway, so woke up like uber early in the wee hours for the big walk. yea. you heard it right, the new paper big walk. haha a family event. along with the cousin and two of my aunts. k la, quite fun to sweat it out by simply walking. boy did i underestimate 5k. i conclude it was quite exhausting. perhaps its a mental barrier, like never- ending mileage. plus it was hard to walk fast with such a dense crowd around you all the time.
afternoon was avenue q with the girl at esplanade! haha saw quite some familiar faces. yif, kesavan, singying and some nbs people. the show itself was hillarious. adult humour at its best. haha i think its not far fetched to say trekkie monster's rendition of internet is for porn takes the cake for the majority of the audience. haha. in short, i felt avenue q was light hearted enough for anyone to be entertained, with a cast bursting with zest and energy.

and after dinner, the girl came over to my house and did abit of schoolwork (:
AND YES. LEWIS HAMILTON WON! nail- biting stuff. like everything just fell into place to make it such a pumping finish. with massa taking 1st and hamilton being 6th till the very final lap. superb. hail the champion, lewis hamilton!
