today marks the first day of my retirement!

did gym in the morning. then went to borders, taka, kino and vivo with the girl!

and oh we both bought stuff for each other. and dinner at kim gray hk restaurant was tantalizing. mMmm. hao chi (:

and so it was time to say goodbye again.

28th july was my last day at work.

the marketing team + gwen gave us a farewell treat at westmall swensons'. we ate super alot! haha and of course not forgetting the pizza hut + kfc farewell lunch my finance team gave me last week (: it feels very nice to be appreciated. but of course it goes beyond these.

my two months or so at this company has been an eye- opener. above everything else, i forged friendships. a huge part of me wishes i can always be the xiao di of the company. never losing my happy-go-lucky attitude and spreading it to everyone around me.

closing a fine chapter of my life is above bringing the memories along with me. inevitably, it wasn't all smiles. but life is short, put down the baggage and let the unhappiness fade away. slowly but surely.

my colleagues have been fantastic. the environment wasn't, but the camaradie was lovely.

im thankul to everyone who has crossed path with me these two months. fate has dealt me a lucky hand (:

but to reminisce, these two months have been challenging. especially at the beginning, when i tried to have it all. i wanted to spend time with my girl, gym and squeeze every second out of the time i have after work. this amounted to a full week of less than 5 hrs of sleep daily. and it went on and on. it was tough.

but someone stood by me. when i vented it out. when i struggled. when i succumbed. yes. that someone. thank you (:

last week was notably an eventul string of days.

uoc. this year freshies seem to be alot more outspoken than us last year. but guess both batches had their own versions of bonding and fun. (: proud to be part of the v family !

had to shuffle between work and the camp itself. only manage to be there for pre-camp, clubbing, sentosa, cheerfight and the bbq itself. real sorry to james, my fellow SAs and the freshies. i know it reflects a lack of commitment perhaps, but i really cudn't shrug off my work obligations entirely as my superior explained the need for manpower at this crucial accounts closing period. i tried my uber best to strike the most desirable balance between both sets of responsibilities.

but no prize for guessing which was the more enjoyable one to carry out (: vivaz, vitor and vitaz (:

and once again, the girl showed tremendous support and understanding during this very hectic week. despite me not having enough time to spend with her, not replying sms-es for prolonged period of time and taking time off to catch up on sleep when im out, she was still impeccably sweet. thank yewww ((:

yesterday we had mac breakfast (grinnnsss. hao chi!), visisted the mint museum of toys and caught dark knight ((:. another weekend spent the way i love it (:

overslept and couldn't drag myself to morning soccer. ended up nua till early noon before i decided to hit the gymm. now im home, tink i shall go catch incredible hulk on my laptop! waiting for the girl to come over for dinner (:

okay lets do the usual fast forward thingy.

caught you don't mess with zohan, wanted, hancock and get smart.

went to the toys/comics exhibition at suntec convention. saw super lot of hardcore cosplay fans dressed up in the most outrageous of outfits. for that day, stares were considered attention, and they positively basked in it. if its their shot at stardom, that event was perhaps their sole best stage.

last saturday was uoc seniors camp. phew just like that another year has passed. and we can only now reminisce the days when we were blur sotong freshies. now its time to abandon that role and take our place as seniors. anw the day camp was rather short. think i looked disastrous during the mass dance rehearsal. poor kerri had to deal with my serious arms- legs coordination issues, stoned expressions and awful dance sense. haha

went lau pa sat for dinner with brenna. chicken rice indulgence after a strict week! (: managed to catch the splendid fireworks that lighted up the marina skyline. thanks to the ndp rehearsal at the platform. the govt never scrimp on this segment. i repeat. never. haha

our beloved toh guan soccer team had our long- awaited field match. haha think we barely clocked 2 games on pitches for the past year. our desire for street soccer is way too strong la (read: lazy haha) the game ended 3-3. lots of positives to take away from this encounter i felt. personally, i enjoyed the run in the middle of the pitch. alot more than the past when i covered the flanks.

only worked 3 days the past week. happiness. haha but i have to mention this, life in office has taken a huge turn. it has became alot more awesome. haha we shifted to our new temporary desks and my location is exceptional. only stanley can comprehend this. cuz seeing is believing! hahah

spent one day of my day with brenna. nice having a rough idea how she goes about doing her stuff on her normal work day (:

wednesday wm came early in the day to coordinate our battle in STARSwar. well timetable wasn't ideal but we pulled off our shot at gay-dom. same class for all 3 core modules next semester. haha lets all join voices to thank wm for helping to copy notes for me, in advance.

naturally there were alot more stuff i did in between. i.e. gym, food, bum, etc.. but im just going to fast forward to this today.!

eh before that, im on this pretty good read titled TOP MAN. it covers the success story of philip green. i just started on the pages and im quite absorbed already. im a good-introduction kind of person. as in if the maiden chunk of words appeal to me, im sold. because just like accomplishing any tasks, taking a first step is always the hardest. unless the task falls in the category that provides immense pleasure to oneself. ( im talking about sleep.)

okay the weekend kinda started yesterday.! had our mini takeaway at fei xiong. which has striked a chord with us. close ties that cannnot be explained with rational reasons. right dear? haha ohh and the girl surprised me when she went down vivo earlier in the day to get the tee shirt i had my eyes on the previous week but didn't had sizes then. now tell me, how not to love you more by the day (: of course its not just cuz she bought a material gift for me okie! haha and i bought a pair of jeans too (: and for a change, the girl sent me home! haha as ridiculous as it sound that she sent me home, it was just plain sweet for me (:

had breakfast with rz at westmall this morning. toasts and eggs always work for me. coupled with a beverage. can never go wrong. haha

lets zoom in to the gist of the day. my journey to the east w the gf. haha cycled at east coast. unlike the previous time we went, this time we hopped onto the doubles one. (: oh and i saw whee wen and kian teck there too. haha eh on a more serious note, i think the govt shld start issuing license for cycling in designated public areas. singaporeans cant cycle safely for nuts. okay nvm, im in too good a mood to be nasty. but i want to add, i hope those ppl have a bad fall, deep scractches, damaged bike and everything that can screw up their initial perfect sunny day. yupps. see i told u im in a good mood already (:

next is our durian conquest. haha i want say smth. nette! u mention one stop after eunos mrt, but u didn't ask us which direction we came from! haha the correct stop was one stop before for us lor haha okay la just kidding nette.

anw and so we conquered four seaons durian cafe. not so much of a cafe actually. but who cares. the durians were fantabulous. haha cravings fufilled and satisfied. al 100% of it (: eh we quite atas can. we sat indoors. only customers with no reservation to do so. LOL

we then went tampines mall. ppl moutain ppl sea. ludicrously crowded can. honestly, i really had enough dose of the east already. but wait, next sunday im heading down again! uoc 08 pre-camp! haha anw i got smth from hush puppies! i like + gf like + wallet like = buy. easy formula rite? haha

phew long entry. tmr is back to toh guan for sunday soccer and mint museum of toys with the gf later in the day. ((:
