so its saturday!

had another long eventful day.

plans was to attend bens and jerry chunk festival in the day and lynnette's dance recital at night.

the former was utter disappointment. their choice of location did them in. the emo weather didn't help either. the rain poured and wrecked the ground with mud, after the skies have dried, it was so humid i couldn't spot a single soul without a drip of sweat. my heart goes out to all who had high expectations, all who thought they could try out the new flavours only to be defeated by the weather and the impossible long queue, and most whole- heartedly, to those who wore nice white shoes. it must have been painful.

but i went in the day because of my schedule later at night. so things could have been better when the skies are dark, the weather has cooled and the live band has stormed things up. but i have my doubts. the logistics present fell way short of being able to handle the capacity who turned up. i think few left the festival even with a lick of an ice cream. the queues were too dis-organised and weren't clearing fast enough.

but this is the maiden try at the fesitval. i still have alot of respect for the young zestful people who brands bens and jerry. bnj is still very much the love.

in b/w the girl had to leave for choir practice. hence i headed over to PS to join some of the og peeps to bum around for awhile. a very short while.

then i rushed home, changed my berms to jeans, switched my shoes and went down to meet the girl for dinner and then the recital at nus cultural centre. i think im definitely getting old. all these running about has made me so jaded, i zonked off throughout the whole trip down to clementi. i was a dead zombie.

but the dance recital by dance arts Singapore was awesome. the highlight of my saturday. the first section was dominated by the kids. everyone around me was oozing 'so cuteeee' repeatedly during the performances. and i cant blame them. the kids were super uber duper adorable please. alot of them were like lost on the set, probably fazed by the crowd and the bright stage and they started doing random and funny stuff that only kids can get away with. haha very charming . really reminds me that no matter how thrashy our world is becoming, there is always place for the beauty and innocence of children.

the later sections were by youths and young adults. haha lynnette was great in her segment. haha we were all trying to identify her cuz everyone on stage looked the same from our distance. and she looks really tall on stage! haha anw happy birthday nette! 22 already! haha may all ur dreams cme true (:

nx week sounds packed. the og ppl are gng east coast, have to meet up w wm to plan and bid for our nx sem modules, supposed to meet up with den and alan for dinner, grandma's birthday celebration, possibly going back to cnc with shalene n fish, theres the toh guan gathering dinner, fong jio for soccer at the cage on wed and i still have lots of stuff i want to do with the girl! tink i will bail out on some stuff nx week. cant squeeze everything in. holidays must be fufilling, but fun. not too busy, else pleasure becomes obligations.

i want to spend more time with her. not doing much. just slowing the pace down a little. tink the holdays so far has been quite a speedy rush. so yupps. nx week i shall aim to spend quality time with the girl, not rushing anywhere, not having to finish or leave a place by a particular time to meet the next agenda or what not. (:
