another week has whizzed passed. life cant get any better. but yet again, im left licking my financial wounds. haha
were tourists w the girl for a day! ventured into parts of singapore that we never set foot on before. primarily the purple line. punggol, sengkang and the likes.
then there was dawn's exhibition. lots of awesome stuff. i tink passion is a crazy thing. cant believe a grp of young adults can cramp into studios for sleepless nights, just to make sure the craft work is impeccably done. its like everything was down to details. very very driven people. glad i had the chance to enter into the archi world, tucked in a corner of bras basah. and possibly enriched myself (a little) at the end of it. haha
spent a night chomping down food with the toh guan guys at sunset way. buffet is undoubtedly the number one gastronomical suicide in singapore. being the kiasu humans, we down more than whats comfortable. felt disgustingly full at the end of it. for 28 bucks, we take comfort that its exactly how we shld feel once we are done there. haha
baked from scratch for the maiden time with the girl. haha fun! although it turned out like kuehs, both of us were satisfied with the taste. i really felt it was kickass good. hahah honest! i tink the secret behind our tasty outcome is that we expanded 3 eggs instead of the 2 eggs mentioned in the original recipe. thanks to the chef (:
oh we went airport on a late evening as well. haha too bad the viewing gallery of the terminal which we went to cant see much now. and oh yah, we bummed into the cycling og ppl there (:
eh this is random at its max. im just churning out stuff as it cmes to mind. stuff that i did this week.
grandma's bdae dinner was at people's park complex. a chinese restaurant. the food was so-so. but i always felt chinese cuisine is extravagant and abit wasteful. there are always dishes that are not popular with the table, but yet still served in equal proportions as the rest, and everyone still wiped the plate clean, so as to avoid wastefulness. plus theres always so little carbo, like everyone gets only abit of noodles or rice, and ur stomach is left to be filled with all kinds of meat. naturally without carbo, u do need more meaty stuff to feel full. nevertheless, happy birthday popo (:
this morning soccer was at fico. my first time there. seemingly identical to cage i felt. but of course being in the west, it works wonders for us. pretty tiresome session. for the fact that the ball never leaves the 'cage', it was quite a workout.
went to the national museum with the girl as well. the galleries there are huge. we didn't even manage to complete our round in a single gallery before we had to leave for our separate commitments later in the day. we sure are gng back nx week. it has changed so much. theres alot alot to explore. haha i had to mention this.
u noe now the museum has gone all high- tech. upon ur entrance at the history gallery, u will be issued an audio companion. basically its a enlarged mp3 player where there is a screen, buttons and ear phones attached to it. as u walk around the gallery itself, there will be different numbers on the ground. so you key in the numbers to listen to the narration and commentary and it will be in sync with the display you're looking at as its all well programmed.
anyway! so there was the short introduction the commentator was reading out through the ear phones. it was like about to teach us briefly how to make use of the set. so there was this part when the narrator read out , 'so now please look at your companion...'. so i looked at my set and was fidgeting with the buttons when i realised the girl was looking at me blankly with wide eyes. lol it was such an innocent mistake on her part that i cudn't stop laughing. lol go figure.
hmm guess thats about it. hope i didn't leave out stuff. shall add on if did. till then.
